A key word that you will see:

Fragmentation: a mental process where a person becomes intensely emotionally focused on one aspect of themselves, such as “I am angry” or “no one loves me,” to the point where all thoughts, feelings and behavior demonstrate this emotional state, in which, the person does not or is unable to take into account the reality of their environment, others or themselves and their resources. This is a term that my therapist and I use and is on the continuum of dissociation.

A.I. Run Amok

Yesterday, Mike Golch commented, "...  I worry that computers like this will eventually be corrupted into doing evil."  It made me think about HAL the computer in the 1968 film, 2001: A Space Odyssey.  Where HAL an artifical intelligence computer runs amok.

Run away. A great idea!

My hubby believes that too. On the other hand, I don't think it will happen.

I don't think like this. Maybe at some point a thousand years into the future, but humans will have evolved too. In 2011, computers are only evil is intent is built into them by evil programmers. This is the problem we have now. Many good things can be used for evil purposes. Computers are not immune to that.
