A key word that you will see:

Fragmentation: a mental process where a person becomes intensely emotionally focused on one aspect of themselves, such as “I am angry” or “no one loves me,” to the point where all thoughts, feelings and behavior demonstrate this emotional state, in which, the person does not or is unable to take into account the reality of their environment, others or themselves and their resources. This is a term that my therapist and I use and is on the continuum of dissociation.

I'm Sick!!

Sorry that I haven't been around for the past couple of weeks, but I've been following doctor's orders and resting.  Also, my therapist's to not push it and take care of myself.  Since I wrote about my sprained ankle, I've resprained it twice more, so I am still using an Aircast and crutches.  Additionally, my respritory systems took a crash...added treatment, contact with my doctor and just coughing, coughing and tired.

I'm sorry to hear about your injury!! I hope your ankle heals quickly, and you start to feel better soon. It's hard to stay off our feet and slow down - but it seems your body is sending a clear message, if it's true that three times is a charm :)
Sending healing thoughts your way...

NOS, thank you. I'm calling my physician today as the only things that I can do without coughing or becoming short of breath is to lay down or sit still on the computer.

Kevin,
BPD can have manic type episodes. However, it is mostly related to the difficulty with managing strong emotions, so it may feel up and down
